Goodbye and good luck!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's time to say goodbye.

I am so sorry that we don´t have a chance to say goodbye in person after all these years together.

I am really proud of you because in this situation you have shown me how mature and responsible you are to carry on with your independent work. I really appreciated your dedication.

I will be answering this weeks emails.

The day that you get your report cards with the grades, you will get a recommendation to continue or not in the Bilingual Programme in high school. You can also get your writing notebooks too. I am so sorry we couldn't continue working with them😢because you were doing great!

I wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life, and show your best in high school. I am going to finish with some lyrics of a song:

I want to say thank you to your parents because they have helped you a lot to get all the activities done and emails sent. Thank you very much!

My recommendations for the summer are the following:

Don't do a summer revising activity book! You have worked enough this year.

If you want to practise your English:

Watch tv shows in English with English subtitles. If you do this, try to start with something you have never watched before and use English subtitles.

Watch youtube videos in English. (asking your parents for permission, of course)

Listen to music in English. Watch videos with the lyrics, like the one I show you above.

Keep a diary and write how you feel or the things that you do in summer.

Do some exercise with The body coach:

Finish your report!

Good afternoon guys! One week left!

We are going to devote this week to finish our reports. 
Please, send to me what you are writing so I can check how you are doing and how you can do better. 

You need to complete the caption for what is happening in the picture.

I need to have all reports by Friday 19th, don't wait until Thursday to do it because I can already tell you it would be wrong.

Work on your report, please!

Good afternoon guys!

How are you doing with your report?
Keep working on it, please! I need everybody to send the Name of newspaper, headline, opening paragraph and main body.

Those of you have have done that, please go over the conclusion. If you remember, the 3rd paragraph in the main body includes how the mushers and dogs transported the serum. In the conclusion you need to narrate What happened when the serum arrived in Nome.

Make sure that the verbs are in the past!

Main body of News report

Good afternoon guys!

Let's continue with our report.

Now we are going to start the main body of our news. As you see in the worksheet, the main body is composed of three paragraphs. You need to organise the information according to what happened in the story.

1st paragraph: how everything started and what they needed in Nome

2nd paragraph: Antitoxin serum and how it travelled by train to Nenana

3rd paragraph: How the serum was transported from Nenana to Nome.

Remember you need to write meaningful paragraphs explaining  how the events developed, so if a person hasn't read the story, can understand what happened.

Opening paragraph

Good afternoon guys!

I have received some of your newspaper's name and headlines and they are amazing!

Now you are going to write the opening paragraph. The opening paragraph would be like an introduction, and it's like a short paragraph summarising what happened in the story.

Good afternoon everyone!

I´m not going to post any solutions until next Monday, so most of you have time to do the activities. 

Today we are going to start writing a news report about the events that happened in the story. We are going to have an easy start😄. Here you have the worksheets:

Good afternoon everyone! How do you feel on the first day of June? Holidays are around the corner.

I´m not going to post the solutions yet because only some of you have sent the activity.
